Over the last few years, homes belonging to Muslim fishermen along Gujarat's coasts have been demolished rapidly. Despite telling the Gujarat High Court that relief and rehabilitation would follow, the government has made no such effort on the ground. Many say the Muslim fishermen are being targeted to appease Hindu Kharwa fishermen. Meanwhile, children and women of the Muslim fishermen are being forced to sleep in the open, and the men being driven to the edge with some demanding mass euthanasia.
