IPL 2025 auction: Full list of 182 sold players; Pant, Vaibhav create history

The IPL 2025 mega auction concluded in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Monday night (November 25) after two days of bidding. A total of 182 players including 62 overseas cricketers were bought by the 10 Indian Premier League franchises.

The first player who went under the hammer was paceman Arshdeep Singh, who was re-signed by Punjab Kings (PBKS) using the Right To Match (RTM) after Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) raised their bid to Rs 18 crore.

Rishabh Pant became the most expensive player in the history of the Indian Premier League. Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) spent a whopping Rs 27 crore to sign up the wicketkeeper-batter who was released by Delhi Capitals. Two other Indians – Shreyas Iyer (Rs 26.75 crore) and Venkatesh Iyer (Rs 23.75 crore) breached the Rs 20 crore mark.

On the second day, 13-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi scripted history to become the youngest ever to be signed up in the IPL. The boy from Bihar won a Rs 1.10 crore bid from Rajasthan Royals (RR). He is a left-hand batter and left-arm spinner and has played just one T20 game and five first-class matches.

One of the greats of the IPL, David Warner remained unsold at the auction.
