Ishan and Rohit added 90 runs for the first wicket in just 9.4 overs. However, in the next 10 overs, MI could not replicate the same and lost.

Bishnoi’s crucial wickets
LSG leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi sent back Rohit and Ishan in successive overs to derail MI’s run chase. Bishnoi finished with 2/26 in his four-over spell.
MI’s run chase depended on Suryakumar Yadav’s batting. However, he failed, scoring just 7 off 9. He tried to play a scoop shot off Yash Thakur but only managed to play the ball on his stumps. This was a massive wicket for LSG and Thakur could not hide his joy as he celebrated.
