Key change introduced
CBSE introduced significant changes to the re-evaluation process for the 2025 board exams. The revisions are made to ensure a more accessible and fair approach to addressing students' concerns about their exam results.
Under the revised process, students must first obtain a photocopy of their evaluated answer sheets before applying for either verification of marks or re-evaluation.
New re-evaluation process
Step 1: Obtain a photocopy of the evaluated answer book
Step 2: Review the answer sheet
Step 3: Apply for Verification or re-evaluation or both
Previously, the process required students to first apply for mark verification, followed by requests for photocopies of their answer sheets, and finally re-evaluation.

Empowering students
This new change in the re-evaluation process will ensure that students are fully informed about how their answers were marked, allowing them to make a more informed decision about whether they should proceed with a re-evaluation request.
It adds an extra layer of transparency to the process, ensuring that students understand how their marks were awarded and whether any discrepancies exist.
This move is expected to enhance student confidence in the evaluation process and reduce unnecessary applications for re-evaluation, ensuring a more efficient and justified redressal mechanism, the board added.
