Class 10 CBSE results out; 93 pc students pass exam, girls outperform boys

This year, 93.66 pc of candidates have cleared the exams, marginally up from last year's pass percentage of 93.60 pc


The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Tuesday (May 13) announced the results of the Class X board examination, with the national pass percentage standing at 93.66 per cent and girls outperforming boys by over two percentage points.

According to Examination Controller Sanyam Bhardwaj, this year, 93.66 per cent of candidates have cleared the exams, marginally up from last year's pass percentage of 93.60 per cent.

Girls outperform boys

While 95 per cent of the girls have cleared the exam, it was 92.63 per cent for the boys. For transgender candidates, the pass percentage was 95 per cent against last year's 91.30 per cent.

Over 1.99 lakh candidates have scored above 90 per cent marks, while 45,516 candidates have scored above 95 per cent.

More than 1.41 lakh candidates have been placed for compartment exams.

A total of 23,71,939 candidates had appeared for the CBSE class 10 board exams.

How to check results?

The results can be checked on the official CBSE websites like cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in, and results.cbse.nic.in. Students can also access the digital mark sheets through the UMANG app, and SMS-based services.

There has been significant variations in regions across the country with some regions recording an improved performance while others like Prayagraj showed a declined performance. Follow the steps below to download the CBSE Class V results from various platforms.

To view the Class X results, follow these steps:

• First, visit any of the official websites mentioned above.

• Then you have to click on the link stating “CBSE Class 10th Result 2025” .

• After the link opens enter your roll number, school number, and admit card ID.

• Click ‘Submit’ to view your mark sheet.

• You can then download the digital mark sheet.

Using the UMANG App

Students can also use the UMANG app to check their results.

Download the UMANG App from Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

• Log in to the UMANG app with your registered mobile number. New users must complete OTP verification.

• After OTP verification, go to the homepage and search for ‘CBSE’ under the Education category.

• Select ‘Class 10 Results 2025’.

• Then you have to enter your CBSE Roll Number, Admit Card ID, School Number, and Date of Birth.

• After validation, your Class X marksheet will be displayed on the screen.

• You can download or take a screenshot for reference.
