India or England? Former England skipper Nasser Hussain’s question has left the Twitter in splits.

On Thursday, Hussain took to his Twitter handle and asked, “Question to all Pakistan fans. England vs India. Sunday. Who you supporting?”

While “neighbour’s support” poured in from all sides, some even went on to the extent to assert they want Pakistan to face India in the semi-finals and defeat them. Some even pointed out England as “colonisers” and that they will never supports colonisers.

Meanwhile, one user took the opportunity to taunt Nasser about England’s failure to win even a single World Cup so far. “Nasser it’s not coming home yet again,” the taunt was hard-hitting.

Another user trod back on the past and dug out the struggle of Independence against the English rulers. “India and Pakistan already fought together against England once in 1947, why won’t they do it again?”

India will take on England at Birmingham on Sunday (June 30) at 3 PM (IST).

England has lost its last two matches and is currently ranked at number 4 position on the points table while India remains the only unbeaten team so far in this ongoing World Cup at number 3.

The hosts have lost its last two matches against Australia and Sri Lanka, which has put it into a ‘do-or-die’ situation, and needs to win all its remaining matches to ensure a berth in the semi-finals.
