Kolkata's Shlok Mukherjee wins Doodle for Google 2022 India contest
Kolkata’s Shlok Mukherjee was on Monday declared the winner of the 2022 Doodle for Google competition in India.
Shlok’s work, titled ‘India on the center stage,’ helped him win the Doodle for Google competition in India. His Doodle will be featured on Google for entire Monday, which is also Children’s Day (November 14) in India.
Shlok, while sharing his Doodle, wrote: “In the next 25 years, my India will have scientists develop their own eco-friendly robots for humanity’s betterment. India will have regular intergalactic travels from Earth to space. India will develop more in Yoga and Ayurveda, and will get stronger in the coming years.”
Doodle for Google 2022 India
The 2022 Doodle for Google competition in India received over 1,15,000 entries from 100 Indian cities, from children in classes I to X.

The competition’s theme was “In the next 25 years, my India will….”
The judging panel included actor-producer Neena Gupta, YouTube creators Slayypoint, Tinkle Comics editor-in-chief Kuriakose Vaisian, and artist-entrepreneur Alika Bhatt. The Google Doodle team was also on the judging panel.
The judges had the task of selecting 20 finalists from the entries. The Doodles from the 20 finalists were then showcased online for public voting, based on which one national winner and four group winners were selected.
“Encourage creativity, celebrate imagination”
The Doodle for Google competition aims to encourage creativity and celebrate imagination in young people.

“We were amazed by the creativity and imagination students brought to their entries and were especially heartened that the advancement of technology and sustainability emerged as common themes across many of the doodles,” read the Google Doodle page.
