India have lost their top spot in the World Test Championship (WTC) table after being whitewashed 3-0 by New Zealand in Mumbai on Sunday (November 3).
In the third and final Test of the three-match series, India were beaten by 25 runs by Kiwis.

New Zealand created history by becoming the first team in India to whitewash the home team in a series involving three or more Tests.
With the 3-0 drubbing, India have conceded their No. 1 position in the WTC table to Australia.

Now, India are in the second spot with 58.33 percentage points. Australia are on top with 62.50. Sri Lanka (55.56) are third followed by New Zealand (54.55).
To qualify for the WTC final, India now have to win four of the five Tests in Australia. The series starts in Perth on November 22.
