Woman found dead inside car in Delhi; third murder case in two days

This is the third murder case reported over the past two days.
“The body of a woman (around 32 years) was found in a car with a visible injury on her head. However, the nature of injury will be confirmed only after the postmortem,” said Atul Kumar Thakur, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South).
He also said the woman’s body has been sent to AIIMS for postmortem. “A case of murder has been registered at Lodhi Colony police station and further investigation is underway,” he added.
Meanwhile, the body of a 23-year-old woman was found inside a factory in north Delhi’s Narela area, the police said on Monday.

The owner of the factory told the police that the factory was locked.
A labourer named Anil (26), who was a resident of Punarwas Colony in Narela and used to live there during the lockdown, has gone missing.
Police are on the lookout for Anil.
“The police reached the spot and entered the factory by breaking its door. When they searched the premises, they found the body of a woman on the ground in a room on the second floor. She had been hit with an object on her head,” a senior police officer said.
The object which was used in the crime was also lying there, police said.
During the investigation, a woman named Mudha Devi, a resident of Narela, told the police that her husband Veerpal and their 23-year-old daughter went to buy rations from Holambi Kalan in Delhi along with Anil on Sunday, according to the police.

Police found that Anil used to live with their family and worked in the factory. He was also in a relationship with the woman who was killed for the last couple of years and wanted to marry her.
On Sunday, Anil had reportedly had an altercation with her, following which he hit her on her forehead and fled.
The woman’s body has been sent to the mortuary.
“A case has been registered and police are trying to nab the accused person,” police added.
In yet another case, a 17-year-old mask manufacturer was stabbed to death in southeast Delhi’s Tughlaqabad Extension after an argument arose over the prices of masks sold to sellers. The prime suspect in the manufacturer’s death has been arrested.
