Ahead of the second phase of Bihar assembly elections on November 3, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav has attacked Chief Minister Nitish Kumar with an old video clip of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Ahead of the second phase of Bihar assembly elections on November 3, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav has attacked Chief Minister Nitish Kumar with an old video clip of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

On Saturday (October 31) morning, Tejashwi took to his Twitter account to accuse Nitish of “60 big scams” worth “Rs 30,000 crore”. He wrote this along with the video of PM Modi where he mentions 32 scams linked with the state government.

“During the rule of respected Nitish ji, 60 big scams worth Rs 30,000 crore have happened so far, out of which 33 were counted by the Honourable Prime Minister (Narendra Modi) himself 5 years ago. Listen for yourself ..Then there have been thousands of crores of scams including… toilet scam, scholarship scam,” Tejashwi tweeted in Hindi along with the PM’s video of one minute and 24 seconds.

In the video, PM Modi is seen saying in Hindi, “The people of Bihar know… I want to remind the younger generation….,” and lists out “32 scams” including medicine scam, transformer buying scam, engineering college nomination scam, fertiliser subsidy scam, liquor scam, and others.

The clip seems to be edited and it is not clear when and where PM Modi spoke and which government he was talking about.

Earlier, PM Modi had called Tejashwi as “Jungle raj ka yuvaraj (Prince of jungle raj).” To this, Tejashwi had responded by saying, “He is the country’s prime minister, he can say anything, I don’t want to react to that. But he came to Bihar, he could have spoken about a special package, unemployment, more important issues.”

“It is the world’s biggest party (BJP), they are using 30 helicopters…if their PM talks like this, the public knows everything. But he should have spoken on issues like poverty, factories, farmers, unemployment…,” Tejashwi, the son of former chief ministers Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rabri Devi, added.
