Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has reacted sarcastically after she and her sister Rangoli Chandel were summoned by the Mumbai police in connection with an FIR registered against them at Bandra police station.

Kangana and Rangoli were asked on Wednesday (October 21) to appear before an investigating officer on October 26 and 27 in Mumbai. The FIR, which was registered on the orders of the Bandra Metropolitan Magistrate, includes sedition charges against the duo.

Kangana took to Twitter and wrote, “Obsessed penguin Sena … Pappupro of Maharashtra, bahut yaad aati hai k-k-k-k-k-Kangana, koi baat nahin jaldi aa jaungi (You miss Kangana so much, never mind, I will be there soon).”

“Among the charges include Indian Penal Code Section 124-A (sedition)… besides spreading communal hatred and falsehoods. The police have also recorded the statement of the complainant, Munawwarali Sahil A. Sayyed today in this connection,” Sayyed’s lawyer Ravish Zamindar told news agency IANS.

Kangana had been in the news for her comments on actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case and for her run-ins with the Maharashtra government. Last month, she said Mumbai “feels like Pakistan occupied Kashmir”. After this, Mumbai civic authorities demolished her residence-cum-office building citing “14 violations”.

Last week, the actress had hit out at the Maharashtra government over the reopening of temples in the state.

“Nice to know Gunda government is being questioned by Honourable Governor sir, Gundas have opened bars and restaurants but strategically keeping temples shut. Sonia Sena is behaving worse than Babur Sena,” Kangana tweeted.
