Modi asks ‘bal sena’ to ensure adults stay home, shares a video
As the nation entered its 21-day lockdown to combat the spread of coronavirus, Prime Minister Narendra Modi requested his ‘bal sena’ to ensure it is successful.
Taking to Twitter on Wednesday (March 25), Modi said, “I have full faith in my ‘Bal Sena’. They will ensure that people stay in their homes, so that India can fight against COVID-19 effectively.”
The tweet, in Hindi, also accompanied with a video showing a young girl stopping her father from stepping out of their home.

On March 24, Narendra Modi announced the 21 day lockdown in India to combat the spread of the deadly coronavirus.
The death toll in the COVID-19 epidemic in India went up to 16 on March 26, with the death of a 70-year-old man in Gujarat, an old woman in Karnataka, and one each in Maharashtra and Jammu and Kashmir.
The total number of people who tested positive for the virus in India increased to 649, according to data provided by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. Out of them, 593 patients are currently undergoing treatment.
