Actor-politician and Congress spokesperson Khushbu Sundar has resigned from the Congress and is set to join the BJP, reports said.

Addressing her resignation letter to Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Khushbu said she felt dictated by people who had no connectivity with ground reality.

“Few elements seated at higher level within the party, people who have no connectivity with the ground reality or public recognition are dictating terms and people like me who wanted to work for the party sincerely, are being pushed and suppressed,” the actor turned politician wrote.

The letter confirmed all speculations on social media about the politician joining the BJP.

Khushbu who has left for Delhi is expected to join the party later in the day, reports said.

It is being speculated that Khushbu may play a prominent part in the 2021 Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu.
