Indian Coast Guard, Navy, Army and Air Force units have been put on stand-by.

As a precautionary measure, five major airports have been shut down in Gujarat.

Fishermen have been advised against venturing into the sea along the Gujarat coast until June 15. Chief Minister Vijay Rupani has appealed to tourists to shift to safer places. Earlier, Cyclone Vayu made an impact near Mumbai, with nearly 400 flights being affected due to bad weather.

According to reports, strong winds are likely to hit the region and sea is all set to turn rough. According to the IMD, the sea condition will be phenomenal over the east-central, adjoining northeast Arabian Sea and the Gujarat coast for the next 12 hours.
