OTT streaming, star guests? Big buzz ahead of Nayanthara's wedding at Mahabalipuram resort
Tamil female superstar Nayanthara is all set to tie the knot with her long-time beau Vignesh Shivan. The arrangements for the wedding, which will take place at a resort in Mahabalipuram on June 9, are in full swing.
Quoting sources, media reports said that the wedding will take place in the presence of only close family and friends. Superstar Rajnikanth, Ajith, Vijaysethupathi, Kamal Hasaan and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin are expected to attend the wedding.

According to sources, there will be tight security at the wedding venue. And, the guests will be allowed to enter the wedding venue only after showing a special code they will receive earlier.
A dress code specified in the invitation is ethnic pastels. A sangeet ceremony is to take place on Wednesday (June 8) before the wedding on Thursday morning, said reports.
There is also the possibility that the wedding is likely to be streamed on a leading Over-the-top (OTT) platform, which is to be filmed by ace director Gautam Menon. But there is no official confirmation of this development.

Vignesh Sivan had confirmed the wedding news to the media on Tuesday (June 7). He said, “Like how your blessings have been there for me professionally, I needed those for my personal life as well. I am moving onto the next stage of my personal life. On June 9, I am getting married to love of my life, Nayanthara. It is going to be an intimate event at Mahabalipuram with family and close friends. Initially, we planned to get married at Tirupathi temple, but due to logistics issues that didn’t happen.”
The pictures from the wedding are expected to be shared with the media the same day.
Nayanthara and Vignesh Sivan have been dating for over five years. They had met on the sets of Vignesh Shivan’s movie Naanum Rowdy Dhaan (2015). The film, which featured Nayanthara in the lead role opposite Vijay Sethupathi, was received well. Nayanthara again worked for Sivan in Kathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal.

Meanwhile, Nayanthara, was last seen in Milind Rau’s Netrikann, a remake of a Korean film, which was produced by Vignesh. Her film O2, the trailer of which was recently released, seems like a survival thriller completely set inside a bus. Directed by debutant GS Viknesh, the film will see Nayanthara fight to keep her sick son travelling with oxygen support alive. She’s also starring opposite none other than King Khan in Atlee’s Jawan.

Vignesh, who’s active on social media, has always shared pictures of the two of them, from holidays. Nayanthara had made the news of her engagement public in August last year, while appearing on television channels to promote her film Netrikann. The engagement ceremony was attended by the couple’s family members and close friends.
In an earlier interview, Vignesh had said that Nayanthara and he have ambitions professionally and would like to achieve them first before tying the knot. He went on to add that they will think about marriage when they get bored of being in love.
