Iran backs India, China after Trump shares 'hellhole' post: 'Cradles of Civilization'
Iran’s consulate in Hyderabad stepped in after the US president circulated controversial comments by a conservative US radio host on immigration
Iran found a new opportunity to target US President Donald Trump, with whom it is in the middle of a serious confrontation, by defending India and China, which were called “hellholes” in a transcript from a conservative talk show, and it was promoted by the mercurial American commander.

On Thursday (April 23), the Iranian Consulate General in Hyderabad said on a post on X that India and China are “cradles of Civilization” and targeted Trump as a “war criminal president” and also counter-accused the US as a "hellhole".
'Hellhole is where war-criminal president threatened'
“In fact, the hellhole is where its war-criminal president threatened to decimate the civilization in Iran,” it said, recalling the threat that Trump had issued to Iran earlier this month, saying Iran’s “whole civilisation would die” if Tehran did not comply with his demands. The threats came amid a fierce air conflict between the US and Israel on one side and Iran on the other that began on February 28.
China and India are the cradles of Civilization. In fact, the #hellhole is where its war-criminal president threatened to decimate the civilization in Iran.

India and China are regarded as among the world’s oldest continuous civilisations, with recorded histories stretching back over 4,000 years. The US is a comparatively young nation-state, established in 1776, making it around 250 years old now. Iran itself has also been the birthplace of an old civilisation.

In another post related to the matter, the consulate general posted the transcript mentioning the “hellhole” part and said, “Every day, with a new post, Trump's inhumanity proves to be beyond infinity. This is the racism itself.”
Trump reshares 'Savage' transcript
In the transcript from the show hosted by controversial radio host Michael Savage, which Trump reposted on his Truth Social platform, it was said, attacking birthright citizenship, “A baby here becomes an instant citizen, and then they bring in their entire family from China, or India, or some other hell-hole on the planet.”

He also referred to Indian and Chinese immigrants as “gangsters with laptops” who have “stepped on our flag”. “They’ve done more damage to this nation than all the mafia families put together. In my unhumble opinion. Gangsters with laptops. They’ve robbed us blind, treated us like second-class citizens, let the trud world triumph, stepped on our flag, et cetera.,” he wrote.
Trump's approval rates slide
Trump shared the rant after fresh polls showed his approval ratings slipping ahead of the crucial midterm elections in November this year. Birthright citizenship has been a topic of burning legal and political debate in the US. The Trump administration is actively seeking to end birthright citizenship for kids of undocumented immigrants via executive order, and the matter is currently before the US Supreme Court.
It is not the first time that Trump has used objectionable words against countries. In 2018, when he was in power for the first term, the Republican had called countries such as Haiti, El Salvador and those in Africa “shithole” ones as he objected to immigrants originating from them and heading to the US.
