There is no need to panic about forgotten phone chargers before boarding a flight anymore it seems.
Quick-commerce giant Blinkit has now crossed new borders today by officially landing inside the boarding gates at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA). This major announcement was made by Blinkit CEO, Albinder Dhindsa through a post on X.
As of April 1, 2026, passengers at Terminal 2 (Domestic Departures) of Mumbai International Airport can now order on Blinket and get their chargers or a quick snack delivered at the airport's boarding gate.
So, what is on offer with this new and exciting service?
What can travellers order on Blinkit at Mumbai airport?
Travellers can now order from a selection of 2500+ products like phone chargers, books, gifts and more on the Blinkit app. It can be water or a food packet.

The offering spans travel accessories, snacks, books, baby care and personal essentials. Permissible liquids such as packaged water, cold beverages and juices are sourced from approved in-terminal inventory, in line with airport security protocols, said reports.
Who will deliver the goods to the travellers?
Forget delivery boys on bikes, instead Blinkit's dedicated team of trained on the ground personnel, will walk over and deliver the goods.

Moreover, Blinkit's dark store is situated near to the airport to facilitate quick deliveries.

This is the first airport to offer this service. The airport authorities want to offer app-based convenience to passengers to make better use of their time and raise the overall service standard and build passenger-centric airports.
What has been the public's reaction?
One social media user praising the initiative as "Wonderful", questioned if this facility will not harm the kiosks inside the airports. Will the Blinket prices be par with outside prices or on par with the highly-priced airport kiosks or with some additional premium, the user asked.
Another user gushing over the new service observed that Blinkit may just end up delivering orders on Mars before even our civilization reaches there. While another said in a tongue-in-cheek fashion - "Can you not deliver to my seat… like in mid air?”
