US bid to broker deal to free hostages


The US is working to broker a deal between Israel, the US, and Hamas to free hostages held in Gaza in exchange for a five-day pause in fighting. The agreement, which was put together during talks in Doha, Qatar, would release dozens of women and children held hostage in Gaza in smaller batches over five days.
