Will send CM to jail for corruption in ‘Saat nischay’: Chirag Paswan
In continuation of his tirade against Nitish Kumar, Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) president Chirag Paswan on Sunday said that if his party is voted to power in the upcoming Assembly elections, he will put the chief minister in jail for corruption in the JD(U)’s ‘Saat nischay’ promises.
“The chief minister is corrupt, anti-youth, he has destroyed Bihar and forced youth to leave (the state). Should such a chief minister stay chief minister?” he said while addressing a public rally at Dumraon in Buxar.

Assembly elections will be held in Bihar in three phases — on October 28, November 3 and November 7, and the results will be declared on November 10.
The LJP is a part of the NDA at the Centre but is fighting the elections in Bihar on its own as it is opposed to the JD(U). It has fielded candidates in constituencies that the JD(U) is fighting in a seat-sharing agreement with its NDA ally BJP.
In he tweet, he exhorted voters to cast the ballot for the LJP in seats it is contesting against the JD(U) and for the BJP and its allies in other constituencies. The next government will be free of Nitish (Kumar), he said.
Paswan said that after the elections, the LJP would form a government with the BJP.

Stating that the chief minister has not kept the promises made in his ‘Saat nishcay’ manifesto that was released before the state elections in 2015, Paswan said, “What should we do with those who have indulged in corruption in the name of Saat nischay? Shouldn’t they be sent to jail?”
If he wins the election, he will put all those — be it any official or even the chief minister — found guilty of corruption in ‘Saat nischay’, he said.
