People across the country have been teaching a lesson to those indulging in dynastic politics and parties following that kind of politics in Tamil Nadu will also learn the lesson soon, Union home minister and BJP leader Amit Shah said on Saturday (November 21). He said that the BJP will repeat its Bihar success in the state, too.
Speaking at a function in Chennai, where he launched some state government projects, Shah came down heavily on the Opposition parties. “Ever since Modi came to power, he has been fighting on three fronts —  corruption, dynasty and caste politics. The Congress and the DMK talk about corruption. They were involved in 2G scam. What right do they have to talk against corruption?” he said.

While the Congress allocated only ₹16,155 crore for TN during its regime, the BJP has allocated ₹32,850 crore, he said.
“In this regime, about ₹95,000 crore has been distributed through direct benefit transfer. In Tamil Nadu alone, nearly ₹4,500 crore has been distributed and 45 lakh farmers have benefitted. The DMK often criticises the Centre saying it is doing injustice to the state. But what did the Congres do for the state in its regime? Let the Congress and the DMK list what they did for the state. We are ready to give our list,” Shah said.
Apologising for his inability to address in Tamil, Shah showered price on the state government for its work against COVID-19. “In Tamil Nadu, both the chief minister and the deputy chief minister have been combating the pandemic successfully. The COVID recovery rate of the state is better than the national average. The officers here work well based on scientific facts,” he said.

The state stands fourth in blue revolution and it will attain the top position soon, Shah said on the day that is marked as World Fisheries Day.
“In Modi’s regime, the fishermen in the state are now free of fear. The Centre has also earned a good name by building houses for Tamils in Sri Lanka,” Shah said.
