AAP wants FIR against BJP MP Parvesh Verma for calling Kejriwal ‘terrorist’
The AAP on Wednesday filed a complaint with the Delhi CEO, demanding the registration of a FIR against BJP MP Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma for reportedly calling Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal “terrorist”. The complaint said by equating Kejriwal to the “anti-national forces”, Verma has tarnished the image of the CM.
In a complaint to Delhi’s Chief Electoral Officer, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday (January 29) demanded the registration of a First Information Report (FIR) against BJP’s West Delhi MP Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma for reportedly calling Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal “terrorist”.
The ruling party in the poll-bound national capital said in its complaint that by equating Kejriwal to the “anti-national forces” fighting India, Verma has tarnished the image of the chief minister. Calling it a “blatant” violation of the model code of conduct, the complaint by the AAP demanded registration of an FIR against Verma.

The Election Commission had earlier in the day ordered the removal of Verma along with Union minister Anurag Thakur from the BJP’s list of star campaigners for the February 8 elections in Delhi. The EC’s move came in the view of Verma’s remark that anti-citizenship law protesters at Shaheen Bagh could enter homes to rape and kill women.
Meanwhile, the West Delhi MP claimed he has received a death threat from an unknown caller and posed on Twitter a screenshot of a phone call that he received at 8.11 am. “I got the call from the anonymous caller giving me threat in the morning. I have lodged a complaint at Barakhamba police station,” Verma said.
A senior police officer said they have received a complaint from Verma in which he has alleged that he received death threat from an anonymous caller. Verma had also asserted in an election rally on Monday the Shaheen Bagh protest site will be cleared in an hour on February 11 if his party comes to power.
