Khushboo Sundar meets with accident, says Lord Murugan saved her

Actor-politician Khushboo Sundar announced her accident on Twitter, and said she is safe.

Actor and politician Khushboo Sundar met with a road accident early on Wednesday (November 18) at Melmaruvathur, on the outskirts of Chennai. She escaped unhurt. A tanker rammed Khushboo’s SUV while she was travelling towards Cuddalore to join BJP’s Vel Yatra. She tweeted pictures of her badly damaged car, adding that she is safe.

Khushboo announced the news of her accident on Twitter: “Met with an accident near Melmarvathur… a tanker rammed into us. With your blessings and God’s grace I am safe. Will continue my journey towards Cuddalore to participate in #VelYaatrai.”

Khushboo also wrote the police are investigating the case. The actor and politician, who had quit Congress and joined BJP,  wrote her belief in god protected her. “#LordMurugan has saved us. My husband’s trust in him is seen,” she tweeted.

Khushboo further described the accident. “My car was on the move in the right lane and this container came from nowhere and rammed into me. Police are investigating and questioning the driver to rule out any foul play.”

She added that she would continue her journey to participate in the yatra. The Vel Yatra, which is being led by Tamil Nadu BJP,  is an attempt by the BJP to garner Hindu votes in the state, ahead of the elections. In this parade, party members plan on visiting Lord Murugan temples across the state. However, it has not been granted permission by the state government.
