From trade talks to Delhi govt school visit, Trumps' Day 2 will be jam-packed
US President Donald Trump and First lady Melania Trump today (February 25) were accorded a ceremonial welcome at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Accompanying them was Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

President Ram Nath Kovind, his wife Savita and Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed the Trumps at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The US president was then accorded a tri-services guard of honour at the forecourt of the Rashtrapati Bhavan. Trump’s daughter Ivanka, son-in-law Jared Kushner and several top officials of the US administration were also present at the ceremony.
Trump and his high-level delegation arrived in Delhi on Monday night.
After meeting with members of the Indian cabinet, the duo paid their obeisance to Mahatma Gandhi at his memorial at Rajghat.

The US delegation will later have a bilateral discussion over trade deal between India and US after which a media briefing will be held at 5 pm. Earlier, Trump mentioned about the deal while addressing a gathering at Montera stadium yesterday.
“I am pleased to announce that tomorrow our representatives will sign deals to sell over $3 billion, in the absolute finest state-of-the-art military helicopters and other equipment to the Indian armed forces,” the US President had said.
Deals regarding traditional energy, nuclear energy, homeland security, intellectual property rights and healthcare are also on cards.
While the US president will be holding trade talks, Melania will visit Delhi government school to interact with kids and witness ‘Happiness Class’ that includes meditation, street plays, basic obedience aimed at reducing anxiety and stress levels among children.
Trump and his wife Melania, arrived in India on Monday afternoon. The couple will be flying back to the US tonight.
