Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said, "We are working with SC to get right members to appoint them in various tribunal. There is only one NCLAT which is in Chennai. We need to have a greater number of Appellate Tribunals NCLT and NCLAT appointments are being taken up seriously and will be done speedily."
RS chairman rejects Oppn notices on UP govt order on Kanwar Yatra
Rajya Sabha Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhar on Monday rejected notices from opposition MPs calling for discussion on an Uttar Pradesh government order asking shops along the Kanwar Yatra route to display names of their owners and staff.
Opposition MPs had given notices under rule 267 seeking suspension of the business of the day to take up discussion on the issue. Dhankhar said the notices were "neither in conformity to requirements of rule 267 nor to directions given by the chair... And so the same are not accepted".

Pradhan flays Rahul; Birla jumps to govt's defence
Pradhan condemns LoP Rahul Gandhi and other Opposition leaders for calling the current exam system "rubbish". Pradhan accuses Congress of withdrawing education reform bills in 2010 "under pressure from lobby of private colleges" and due to corruption.
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla jumps to the government's defence. Birla says exam paper leaks have been happening across the country, including in states that are ruled by Opposition parties. Speaker says it is not proper to raise questions on the examination system.
