Rajinikanth discharged after successful heart procedure
Post non-surgical heart procedure, superstar Rajinikanth has been advised to rest but is expected to return to the sets of 'Coolie' soon
Tamil superstar Rajinikanth was discharged from Chennai's Apollo Hospital on Thursday (October 3) night, following a heart procedure. He had been admitted to address swelling in a major blood vessel near his heart, and doctors performed a non-surgical procedure to insert a stent.
The procedure, which took place on October 1, was successful, and the actor was kept under observation for two days. As per reports, Rajinikanth has been advised to take rest for a couple of weeks before returning to work.
'Thalaivar' to return soon
The beloved "Thalaivar" will soon resume shooting for Lokesh Kanagaraj's film Coolie, once given the green light by his doctors. His fans, who were relieved to hear the news of his successful recovery, have been sending their best wishes.
Apollo Hospitals had released a bulletin saying that Rajinikanth had undergone a transcatheter aortic repair, with Dr Sai Satish leading the procedure. The bulletin reassured everyone that the actor's condition was stable and that he was recovering well.
In the works
On the professional front, Rajinikanth is gearing up for the release of his next big project, Vettaiyan, directed by TJ Gnanavel. The film will hit theatres on October 10. The movie features an ensemble cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, and more.
