Amid the COVID-19 crisis, citizens in Mumbai can now easily access information about the availability of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) beds as well as ventilators in hospitals of the city, through a new mobile application, Mayor Kishori Pednekar said.

The app will help people during emergency situations, the Mayor said, after launching the ‘Air-Venti’ app on Wednesday (June 17).

The app will help people in finding about the availability of ICU beds and ventilators in Mumbai hospitals amid the COVID-19 situation. This will give an easy access to people for knowing the details, as some government hospitals in Mumbai are overwhelmed due to increasing number of infected patients.

Pednekar said that the ‘Air Venti’ app is connected to the dashboard of the city’s disaster control room, and its link can also be accessed through Mumbai civic body’s app.
