I-T searches on at premises of G Square, a DMK-linked real estate firm

The Income Tax department on Monday launched searches at the premises of G Square, a well-known Tamil Nadu-based real estate firm. The I-T searches were being held in over 50 different locations in Tamil Nadu, including in Chennai.

G Square has, in the past, been marred in political controversy, with the BJP in Tamil Nadu accusing top DMK leaders of helping it grow exponentially.
