After Modi, actor Rajinikanth shoots for Man vs Wild with Bear Grylls

After Prime Minister Narendra Modi, actor Rajinikanth will feature in the iconic Bear Grylls’s ‘Man vs Wild’ show. Sources said the shooting had started in the Bandipur Tiger Reserve in Karnataka.

Actor Rajinikanth reportedly reached the Bandipur forest after the Karnataka Forest Department gave permission for the shooting between January 28 and 30. Earlier, in December 2019, the crew had sought permission for the shooting but it was called off due to Rajinikanth’s busy schedule.

After Rajinikanth, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is expected to do the shoot on January 30.

Bandipur Tiger Reserve officials said permission for shooting had been granted in the Mulleholle, Maddur, and Kalkere ranges. The officials said the crew would be given special protection and they would ensure that the wildlife is unhurt too.

Earlier, PM Modi featured in the show along with Bear Grylls in August. They ventured into the Jim Corbett National Park in Uttarakhand for the episode.

The main theme of the Rajinikanth-Akshay Kumar episode has not been publicized.

However, sources said that the actor was inspired by the Wild Karnataka documentary released in the theatres recently.

Rajnikanth is known to be a wanderer who traverses treacherous mountains as part of his annual spiritual outings. Meanwhile, some wildlife activists in Karnataka opposed the documentary shoot inside the Bandipur reserve.
