Scary videos trying to prove the existence of ghosts just to have fun while people believe it keep surfacing on social media every now and then.

In a similar incident on Friday (June 12), a video of dramatic rocking of equipment in an open gym without any human intervention in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, went viral leaving tweeples divided on whether to believe their eyes or laugh at it.

Clearing the air around the fitness freak ghost who grabbed the eyeballs of netizens, Jhansi Police said some miscreants had over-greased a shoulder press machine as a result of which the movement was happening on its own.

“Once the swing was over greased, it kept shaking for a few seconds. Some miscreant made a video by rocking the swing and putting it on social media. We are looking for the culprit. There is no ghost, it’s all a rumour,” Jhansi Police tweeted.

Rahul Srivastav, a top police official in Jhansi posted the video on his Twitter handle and wrote, “Fitness freak ghost? @jhansipolice got a tip off about an open gym being used by ghosts!Team laid seige & soon found t real ghosts-Some mischievous person made video of moving swing & shared on #socialmedia. Miscreants will b hosted in a ‘haunted’ lockup soon #NoHostForGhost.”

Earlier this week, Srivastav posted a video of farmers in Jhansi trying to tackle the locust attack by playing loud music with the help of a ‘DJ vehicle’ used in marriage processions.

“DJ is not only effective during parties but for fighting off locusts as well. Days change everyone! You can make a noise or even beat the plate,” Srivastav tweeted along with a short clip of the video.
