22 Scindia-loyalist MLAs join BJP in Madhya Pradesh

The 22 MLAs, who had resigned from the Congress in Madhya Pradesh leading to the fall of the Kamal Nath government, joined the BJP on Saturday. BJP leader Jyotiraditya Scindia, who had resigned from the Congress and was subsequently given a Rajya Sabha ticket by the saffron party, made the announcement on Saturday.


The 22 MLAs, who had resigned from the Congress in Madhya Pradesh leading to the fall of the Kamal Nath government, joined the BJP on Saturday (March 21). They were also promised tickets by the saffron party.

BJP leader Jyotiraditya Scindia, who had resigned from the Congress and was subsequently given a Rajya Sabha ticket by the saffron party, made the announcement on Saturday.

“Our 22 MLAs have joined BJP today with the blessings of party president JP Nadda. All will get tickets. He encouraged us and assured everyone’s honour will be maintained,” said Scindia. The lawmakers met Scindia and Nadda at the latter’s residence on Saturday, reported news agency ANI.
