WTC 2023-25 full schedule for all 9 teams; India's fixtures, home and away tours
India will begin the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) 2023-25 cycle with the upcoming tour to the West Indies in July. The WTC is held every two years over the next eight-year cycle – 2023-25, 2025-27, 2027-29 and 2029-2031.
The WTC 2023-25 cycle will begin Friday (June 16) with the five-Test Ashes series between defending champions Australia, and England.

The WTC 2023-25 cycle includes 68 matches scheduled across 27 series and the third WTC Final to be played at Lord’s in 2025, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced.
Nine teams, six series each
The nine teams set to participate in the WTC 2023-25 cycle are Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka and West Indies.
Each WTC series in the cycle will include two to five Tests, with the nine competing teams each playing six series – three at home, and three away.

The top two teams in the WTC standings will then qualify for the Final at Lord’s.
The nine teams do not necessarily play the same number of matches in the WTC cycle, with the standings determined by the percentage of all possible points earned.
England will feature in the most number of Test matches during the WTC 2023-25 cycle with 21, while Australia (19) and India (19) will also line up in regular five-day fixtures.

India’s fixtures in WTC 2023-25
India will travel to West Indies next month to play two Test matches in Dominica (July 12-16) and Trinidad (July 20-24). India have been finalists in the first two editions of the WTC, losing to New Zealand (2021) and to Australia (2023) in the final.

After the tour to Windies, India’s next WTC assignment will be on away tours against South Africa between December 2023 and January 2024.
Followed by that, India will host England for a five-match Test series in January-February 2024.
They will then lock horns with Bangladesh in September-October 2024 At home and immediately after that New Zealand will visit the sub-continent for a three-match Test series in October-November 2024.

After those two relatively easy home schedules, India will travel to Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, a five-match series, against Australia between November 2024 and January 2025, which also marks the end of India’s WTC engagements.
WTC format
The structure of the nine-team WTC remains intact with each side playing three home and as many away series over a two-year period culminating in the final of a one-off Test. The points percentage system used in the previous edition will determine the leaderboard with teams getting 12 points for a win, 6 for a tie, and 4 for a draw.
