Upbeat Australia and West Indies look to bag second consecutive win

Not quite does it happen that two teams, who came off low scoring in the last game, stare at a high scoringin the immediate next. But that’s what is going to happen in the 10th match of the ICC World Cup 2019 as West Indies and Australia take on each other at Trent Bridge.

For the Carribean team, they will be high on confidence after their first game against Pakistan, where the bundled out the opposition for a paltry total of 105 and chased down the target with more than 36 overs to spare. Gayle looked in good touch and Australia will be vary of the fact that the Universe Boss is in great touch along with the other hard hitters in the line up, can blow away the Aussie bowling on a flattish Trent Bridge wicket where the average 1st innings winning score since the CWC 2015, is 424/6.

The bowlers will look to continue from where they left off against Pakistan, as the Warner and Co. will expect a lot of bouncers coming at them. Andre Russell and Oshane Thomas blew away the Asian team on Friday but Australia will pose a far stronger challenge than the Pakistanis did.

Australia too, are coming off a convincing victory against Afghanistan, but will expect a sterner challenge from the Men in Marooon. Jason Holder has troubled the Aussie top order, particularly skipper Finch, who has been dismissed 4 times in 6 innings.

Toss Prediction
Both teams are coming off convincing victories while batting second and whoever wins the toss, will most probably look bowl first.

Australian team
The only spot the Aussie may tinker with is Adam Zampa’s as the majority of left-handers in the West Indies batting line-up means that Lyon may have edge over the leggies. Rest of the team will retain their position in the team.

Predicted XI: David Warner, Aaron Finch (c), Usman Khawaja, Steve Smith, Marcus Stoinis, Glen Maxwell, Alex Carey (wk), Nathan Coulter-Nile, Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc, Nathan Lyon

West Indies team
Considering their dominating over against Pakistan, the West Indies may not drop anyone from the XI.

Predicted XI: Chris Gayle, Shai Hope, Darren Bravo, Shimron Hetmyer, Nicholas Pooran (wk), Andre Russell, Jason Holder (c), Carlos Brathwiate, Ashley Nurse, Sheldon Cottrell, Oshane Thomas
