IPL sets Guinness World Record with largest cricket jersey
Ahead of the final between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Ahmedabad on Sunday (May 29), the Indian Premier League (IPL) set a Guinness World Record by unveiling the world’s largest cricket jersey.
At the Narendra Modi Stadium, the giant jersey measuring 66 x 42 metres was unveiled moments before the start of the IPL 2022 title clash.

The jersey had “15 Years Of IPL” embossed on it, and all the logos of the 10 playing teams.
The Guinness World Record certificate was awarded to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) with president Sourav Ganguly and secretary Jay Shah receiving the honour along with IPL chairman Brijesh Patel receiving it.
On Twitter, the official Twitter handle of IPL shared the video of the ceremony and wrote, “A Guinness World Record to start #TATAIPL 2022 Final Proceedings. #GTvRR Presenting the World’s Largest Cricket Jersey At The World’s Largest Cricket Stadium – the Narendra Modi Stadium.”
IPL began in 2008 and the 15th edition of the Twenty20 tournament will conclude tonight (May 29).
