Must watch: Dhoni, CSK players’ reactions after Jadeja’s 6, 4 in IPL 2023 final

It was a fitting end to IPL 2023 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad early Tuesday (May 30) as Chennai Super Kings (CSK) won a last-ball thriller to win their fifth IPL trophy.

With 10 needed off the final two balls of the tournament, Ravindra Jadeja, cool as a cucumber, first hit a six off Mohit Sharma, and with four required off one, he sent a leg-side full ball to the boundary triggering celebrations in CSK dugout and thousands of fans at the stadium.

CSK defeated GT by five wickets via the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method. They successfully chased down a revised target of 171 in 15 overs. Earlier, GT had posted 214/4 in 20 overs.

What were CSK captain MS Dhoni and his teammates’ moods in the dugout and their reactions after that winning hit? Those emotions were beautifully captured on camera and later shared on the official Twitter handle of IPL.

The clip, which is of two minutes and 21 seconds, shows CSK players celebrating and running onto the ground as soon as Jadeja hit that winning boundary.
