Not all provisions get implemented, says Educationist Balaji Sampath on NEP

Speaking to The Federal about the New Education Policy, Educationist Balaji Sampath was sceptical about how the policies would be implemented. He said, “In our country, a lot of things are said, but a very few implemented.” While he encourages the step towards ensuring that mother tongue is the medium of instruction till class 5, he also emphasises on the need to train students in spoken english.
