Why Rhea left Sushant's house on June 8 and 9 other questions by CBI

The CBI finally started questioning Rhea Chakraborty in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case on Friday (August 28).

Rhea gave an interview to media a day before where she talked about the ordeal of being investigated by three top agencies of the country simultaneously. Rhea said she was going through “unbearable mental torture”.

The actor has been again summoned for questioning at 10.30 am on Saturday (August 29).

Sushant Singh Rajput’s family has accused Rhea and her family of mentally harassing the late actor, siphoning off money from his bank account, and having a role in his death on June 14. The case was transferred from Mumbai police to CBI about 10 days back after the Supreme Court intervened.

Sources say the CBI in the course of the interrogation on Friday asked Rhea who informed her about Sushant’s death; where was she when he died; her relationship with Sushant days before he died and her relationship with his family among others queries.

Meanwhile, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) summoned a Goa-based businessman (identified as one Gautam Arya) in connection with its money laundering probe linked to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, officials said on Friday. The businessman has been summoned after the ED came across some mobile phone messages reportedly sent by actor and Rajput’s live-in partner Rhea Chakraborty to him in 2017 which purportedly indicate discussion of certain banned narcotics.

NDTV framed 10 likely questions that the CBI asked Rhea.

1. Who informed her about Sushant Singh Rajput’s death? Where was she?
2. On hearing of the death, did she go to his Bandra home? If not, why, when and where did she see his body?
3. Why did she leave Sushant Singh Rajput’s home on June 8?
4. Did she leave the actor’s home after a fight?
5. After leaving Sushant Singh Rajput’s home, did she have any communication with him between June 9 and 14? If yes, what was it about, and if not, why?
6. Did Sushant Singh Rajput try to communicate with her in those days? Did she ignore his calls and messages? If so, why? Why did she block his calls?
7. Did Sushant Singh Rajput try reaching out to any of her family members? What was the communication about?
8. Details of Sushant Singh Rajput’s health issues and the treatment he was taking. Details of doctors, psychiatrists and medication.
9. What was Rhea Chakraborty’s relationship with Sushant Singh Rajput’s family?
10. Why did she ask for a CBI probe into the death? Did she sense foul play?

Sushant Singh Rajput’s cook Neeraj and flatmate Siddharth Pithani are also being questioned by CBI, which took over the entire investigation after a Supreme Court order last week.
