Twin murders rock Uttar Pradesh; both women victims burnt
In what could be described as twin horrors rocking Uttar Pradesh on a single day, two dead bodies of women were found in two different locations. While one was found tied to a cot, in a burnt condition, in Bijnor district, the other was discovered at a village in Bahraich, with burn injuries on her face, according to NDTV.
Alongside the corpse of the former, three empty cartridges were also found hinting that she was also shot at. The body that was located near a tube well on the outskirts of the village on Friday evening (January 17) is yet to be identified.

“We are collecting DNA samples to ascertain her identity”, said police officer Laxmi Niwas Mishra to NDTV.
In the case of the 20-year-old woman, she was found dead near a forest in Bahraich district. She too was burnt as could be gathered from the burn marks on her face. She was also naked.
As her face is recognisable despite having been burnt, police said that she was from outside the village and that investigations are on.
