Sushant's girlfriend Rhea admits living with him, left 6 days before his death

A day after Sushant Singh’s father Kishore Kumar Singh filed a fresh complaint against his son’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, the actress admitted to the Supreme Court of living with Sushant for a year at his Bandra apartment on Thursday.

In a petition to the top court seeking transfer of the case registered against her in Patna to Mumbai, the actress said that she was in a live-in relationship with Sushant for a year and shifted out of his house temporarily on June 8 — just six days before Sushant was found dead in his apartment. She had also mentioned that Sushant was suffering from depression in the petition.

On Wednesday the late actor’s father KK Singh lodged an FIR with Rajiv Nagar police station against Rhea Chakaraborty and six others, including her family members, for theft, abetment to suicide. The case has been lodged under various sections of IPC including 341 (punishment for wrongful restraint), 342 (punishment for wrongful confinement), 380 (theft in dwelling house), 406 (punishment for criminal breach of trust), 420 (Cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property) and 306 (abetment of suicide).

In the FIR he stated that on June 8 when Rhea found that his son’s bank balance was going down, she left with cash, jewellery, laptop, credit card, its PIN number and password and important documents and doctors’ receipts. She also allegedly threatened Sushant that she would show his medical receipts to the media and would prove him mad, thereby destroying his career.

Rubbishing these claims and breaking her silence on her ex-boyfriend’s death, Ankita Lokhande lashed out at people’s conspiracy theories claiming Sushant was depressed. Ankita who was in a six-year relationship with Sushant until 2016 said in an interview to Republic TV, has said that Sushant could not have been ‘depressed’. “Sushant was not the guy who could commit suicide. We have seen worse situations when we were together. He was a happy-go-lucky guy,” she said.

Hindustan Times reported her saying that it was heartbreaking to see when words like ‘depression’ being used after his name. “He might be upset, anxious, yes, but depression is a big word. Calling someone ‘bipolar’ is a big thing,” he said.

She lashed out that people were portraying their own version of Sushant as ‘depressed’ but no one in reality knew how he was or who he was.

Ankita and Sushant met on the sets of their television show Pavitra Rishta and dated up until 2016.
