Smriti Irani fights back daughter’s bully, reposts selfie after deleting it
Union Minister Smriti Irani on Friday strongly hit back at a bully of her daughter, Zoish, for “humiliating her for how she looks” and said she was proud to be her mom and would fight back.
In a post on Instagram, she said she had deleted Zoish’s selfie as a classmate was bullying her.
“I deleted my daughter’s selfie yesterday coz an idiot bully in her class, A Jha, mocks her for her looks & tells his pals in class to humiliate her for how she looks in her mother’s insta post. My child pleaded with me ‘Ma please delete it, they are making fun of me’. I obliged coz I could not stand her tears,” she said.

Then she “realised” that deleting the picture “just supported the bully” and posted it again, with the message.
She noted that Zoish was an accomplished sportsperson, record holder in Limca Books, second rank black belt in Karate, having won twice the bronze medal in World Championships.
She is “a loving daughter and yes, damn beautiful,” the minister asserted, adding, “Bully her all you want, she will fight back. She is Zoish Irani and I’m proud to be her Mom.”
