Rashtrapati Bhavan staff’s kin tests COVID positive, 100 houses quarantined

Sanitation worker's daughter-in-law tests positive for COVID-19 after attending funeral of mother who died of the disease in her village; the rest of the family have tested negative

More than 100 houses in the Rashtrapati Bhavan complex have been quarantined  after the relative of a sanitation worker living in the campus tested positive for COVID-19.

According to reports, the sanitation worker’s family had attended the funeral of his daughter-in-law’s mother who died of COVID-19 in her village. While the entire family was sent to an isolation facility, all of them, but the ‘daughter-in-law’ tested positive for the virus.

After the results came out, more than 100 houses in the Rashtrapati Bhavan complex have been put under isolation.

According to NDTV, while secretary-level officials and their families have been put under home quarantine, workers have been taken to a quarantine facility in Delhi.
