Bollywood actor Namrata Shirodkar is the latest victim of social media speculations as her name surfaced in the WhatsApp chats being probed by the NCB as part of the drugs case in Bollywood. Namrata limited her Instagram comments after being flooded with questions about the case.
Namrata, the wife of Tollywood star Mahesh Babu, posted a picture of her on Monday, for which comments started pouring in. One of the Instagram users directly asked her: “Kya app drugs leti ho? (Do you take drugs?)” Some others wanted to know what her favourite drug is.

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has been investigating use of drugs in Bollywood and as part of the probe, the agency questioned late actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s talent manager Jaya Saha. Sources said a few names cropped up in WhatsApp conversations purportedly discussing drugs. The drug law enforcement reportedly showed Jaya her WhatsApp chats, which had the initials of five celebrities – K, D, S, N, and J. Jaya reportedly told NCB that she ordered CBD oil for some celebrities. It was during this probe that Namrata Shirodkar’s name cropped up. However, the NCB has not confirmed Namrata’s name and no summons have been issued to the actor.
The NCB has so far arrested more than 12 people, including Rajput’s girlfriend and actress Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik, in connection with its probe linked to the case of the actor’s death. Sushant Singh Rajput died on June 14 and was found dead at his home in Bandra, Mumbai.
