Modi tweets yoga videos, requests people to be fit during lockdown


A day after Prime Minister was asked about his fitness routine during the quarantine in his Mann Ki Baat address, he tweeted pictures and videos of the yoga on Monday (March 30).

Sharing the videos on yoga, Modi said, “Someone asked me about my fitness routine during this time. Hence, thought of sharing these Yoga videos.”

Requesting people to practice yoga regularly, Modi said, “I am neither a fitness expert nor a medical expert. Practising Yoga has been an integral part of my life for many years and I have found it beneficial.”

He also asked people to share their fitness videos, he said, “I am sure many of you also have other ways of remaining fit, which you also must share with others. He also added that the video was in all languages so that everyone could practice yoga.

On Sunday, during his address, Modi asked people to engage in hobbies during this period of lockdown to make use of time productively.

He also apologized for the severe measures taken to combat the coronavirus saying, “I apologize for taking these harsh steps which have caused difficulties in your lives, especially the poor people. I know some of you would be angry with me also. But these tough measures were needed to win this battle.”
