Kejriwal, Sisodia not to be part of VVIP event with Melania Trump

US First Lady Melania Trump who will be visiting India with her husband and US President Donald Trump is likely to watch a "happiness class" at a Delhi government school, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) sources said.


Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his deputy Manish Sisodia have been ‘dropped’ from the school event where US First Lady Melania Trump is scheduled to visit on February 25.

Melania Trump who will be visiting India with her husband and US President Donald Trump is likely to watch a “happiness class” at a Delhi government school, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) sources said.

According to the sources, Kejriwal and Sisodia’s names have been dropped by the central government.

Melania Trump is scheduled to visit the school as a special guest on Tuesday (February 25) where she will also spend around an hour with the school children.

Reacting to the removal of names from the list, AAP alleged that it was the centre’s to do so.

The Trumps will begin their two-day visit on Monday in Ahmedabad, following which they will fly down to Delhi.

The US President will arrive in Ahmedabad at around noon on February 24 for a less than 36-hour visit to India. He will be accompanied by a high-level delegation including First Lady Melania Trump, the President’s daughter Ivanka Trump, son-in-law Jared Kushner and a group of top US officials.
