Jaipur firm, which made cutlery for Obama, designs tableware for Trump

A Jaipur-based company, which had designed exclusive tableware for former US President Barack Obama during his two visits to India, has been entrusted with the job of creating the cutlery and accessories for the personal use of visiting US President Donald Trump and his family members.

The US President will be accompanied by his wife and US First Lady Melania Trump, and other family members during his visit to the country on February 24 and 25.

“It’s a special design. We served ex-President Barack Obama also when he visited,” manufacturer Arun Pabuwal told news agency ANI. The ‘Trump Collection’ of gold and silver plated tableware will be used by the president and his family members during their visit to New Delhi.

The manufacturer said the family set tableware was conceptualised and created within a short period of two weeks using a wide variety of non-ferrous metals. “It has been coated with a thick layer of pure of gold and silver as final finish,” he told news agency IANS.

Pabuwal is also the CEO of Arun’s Group of Companies, an internationally renowned designer and manufacturer of metal ware. This is the third time in a row he is designing exclusive tableware for a visiting US President. Earlier, he had created cutlery and accessories for Obama’s visit in 2010 and 2015.

He told IANS the breakfast table prepared for Trump features cookies stand, fruit tray, and refreshment, besides other accessories with silver finish.
