Bollywood drugs case: Deepika, Sara Ali Khan in Mumbai to face probe

Rakul Preet Singh and Deepika Padukone have been summoned tomorrow while Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor will appear before NCB on Saturday.

Actors Deepika Padukone and Sara Ali Khan have reached Mumbai after they were summoned by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in drug probe related to the Sushant Singh Rajput death investigation.

Both the actors flew back to Mumbai from Goa on Thursday (September 24). The NCB has also summoned actors Shraddha Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh for questioning.

Deepika Padukone will be questioned tomorrow (September 25) while Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor will face the investigation team on Saturday. Rakul Preet Singh, who was supposed to appear before the anti-drugs bureau today, will be questioned tomorrow as well.

Sara Ali Khan, 25, was seen at the airport with her mother Amrita Singh, a veteran actor. Her father is actor Saif Ali Khan.

The names of the four stars came up in WhatsApp chats found during probe into the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. Rhea Chakraborty is in jail since September 9 and has been accused of arranging drugs for Sushant. Rhea’s brother Showik and two employees of Sushant Singh Rajput are also behind the bars.

Rhea Chakraborty reportedly revealed the names of Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh in connection with drugs use during NCG investigation.

Rhea Charkaborty’s bail petition filed before the Bombay High Court states that Sushant developed the drugs habit while shooting for the film ‘Kedarnath’. Sara Ali Khan was his co-actor in the film.

The names of Deepika Padukone and Shraddha Kapoor were found in WhatsApp chats on the phone of Jaya Saha — Sushant’s Singh Rajput’s talent manager.
