Anupam Kher's mother, brother Raju test COVID positive

Actor Anupam Kher on Sunday (July 12) said his family members including mother Dulari and brother Raju have tested positive for COVID-19, while he tested negative.

Announcing the same in a tweet and a video message, Kher said his mother who is found to be mildly positive has been admitted to the Kokilaben Hospital.

“This is to inform all that my mother Dulari is found Covid + (Mildly). We have admitted her into Kokilaben Hospital. My brother, bhabhi & niece inspite of being careful have also tested mildly positive. I got myself tested as well & I have tested negative. @mybmc is informed.!” he tweeted.

His brother Raju Kher, also an actor, and his family have self-quarantined themselves.

In the video message Anupam Kher said he got the blood test of his mother done as she wasn’t eating well for the past few days. The doctor had asked to get her CT scan done and when he and his brother took her to get it done, she tested positive for COVID-19.

On Saturday, actor Amitabh Bachchan and his son Abhishek tested positive for COVID-19 and are currently being treated in Mumbai’s Nanavati Hospital.
