Amid COVID-19 crisis, Sonu Sood helps Munna Bhai MBBS actor Surendra Rajan

Bollywood actor Sonu Sood, in his quest to offer help to those in need amid the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, has now come to the rescue of Munna Bhai MBBS actor Surendra Rajan. Rajan has been stranded in Mumbai ever since the lockdown was imposed to curb the pandemic.

Reportedly, Rajan stated that he ran out of most of his money and could not afford to pay rent to his landlord in the city. When Sonu Sood came to know about Rajan’s plight, he assured him saying that he would send the actor back to his hometown.

Speaking about Sood, Rajan said that Sonu Sood’s work is amazing and that he is surprised a man is working like this. He added that one cannot do this unless he has a tremendous will to help other people. Sood is doing an extraordinary work and people like him are rare, he said.

Sonu Sood has helped over 30,000 migrants to reach their homes amid the lockdwon restrictions and has been lauded for his goodwill and humanitarian work. Sonu Sood said in a recent interview to The Indian Express that his background and the values his parents imbibed in him, is the reason why he is doing this. He stated that his mother used to teach kids for free and his father used to organise langars outside his shops.
