3 killed in explosion in Jharkhand

Three people were killed and two others seriously injured on Sunday after an explosion rocked Giridih district, the police said.

The incident was reported from Padamtand Barmasia under the jurisdiction of Gandey police station when a man was offloading explosives from a two-wheeler, the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of Giridih, Jeet Vahan Ram, said.

The man had bought the explosives to dig a well, the SDPO said.One  among the two injured was a woman, the SDPO added.
