CWC divides itself into five groups to finalise Rahul's successor

With the Congress Working Committee (CWC) deciding to form five regional groups to select the new chief of the party, several names have begun doing the rounds. It is speculated that Mukul Wasnik and Mallikarjun Kharge are the front runners.

In the meantime, the CWC is likely to choose an interim president, who in all likelihood would call for elections to the post of the party president.

Ahead of the CWC meet, Milind Deora had pitched in the names of Jyotiraditya Scindia and Sachin Pilot for the position.
