Jammu and Kashmir is no stranger to turbulent times, but the past one year has been trying for the valley and its people. On August 5 last year, the Centre abrogated Article 370, stripping the state of its special status and bifurcated it into two Union territories – Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
